This sunny, spacious, quiet apartment - composed of a living/dining room with balcony, one large bedroom, entrance hall, kitchen and bathroom (with shower stall and washing machine) - is located on the 7th floor (with elevator) of a modern building in Trastevere, just off Viale Trastevere. It features lovely beige marble floors and antique Italian furniture. A concièrge is on duty at the main door of the building in the hours established by law.

The living/dining room is bright and spacious. The furniture comprises a sofa and two matching armchairs (Luigi Filippo period), a small 18th century table, a modern (1940s) dining table in cherrywood, a set of four 19th century chairs, a desk, TV and radio.

The bedroom furniture comprises an early 19th century Tuscan armoire, two rosewood bedside tables as well as a cherrywood settee. The two single beds in the bedroom can be made up either as one queen size bed (as shown here) or as two individual singles.

The entrance hall gives access to the living room and a small corridor leading to the bedroom, the kitchen and the bathroom.


Location: The apartment is located in an area of Trastevere that was developed in the 1970s. Viale Trastevere (highlighted in yellow) is the main thoroughfare linking the Stazione Trastevere (direct rail service to the Fiumicino airport) and the historic center of Rome. Stazione Trastevere is visible on the lower edge of the map below. There is an excellent street car service (No. 8) along Viale Trastevere (5 stops from the apartment to Largo Argentina in the historic center). There is an express bus service (No. 170) along the Tiber River to Piazza Venezia (4 stops from the apartment) and on to the Stazione Termini (7 stops from the apartment).


Neighbourhood: Mainly residential buildings with shops on the ground floors. Some office buildings. A supermarket, a large open air fruit and vegetable market, a wide selection of specialty food stores, coffee bars, restaurants and pizzerias are close at hand as well as two hospitals, several internet access points.


The apartment is available from now to 21 June, 29 June - 15 October and from 26 November onwards.

The owner, a Canadian citizen, is an international civil servant, who has lived in Rome for over thirty years.
